PHX: “2-Day Mixed Media/Collage Workshop” w/ Stan Kurth!

(This class is available in our PHOENIX store only) (Seating for this class is limited; contact Stan Kurth to sign up) Join renowned instructor Stan Kurth in this fun, insightful, and exciting intuitive two day mixed media collage workshop! This workshop is designed for all artist of any skill level who wants to explore intuitive collage making. Learn how to paint and create without preconceived ideas or desires for a specific outcome, while also exploring different mediums. You’ll start by creating random marks as you create your underpainting on either canvas, paper, or board. Then, you’ll work with mark-making tools, matte medium, acrylics, gesso, and collage elements to compliment your artwork! With regular feedback and evaluation from Stan and your peers, you’ll learn how to compose your artwork with the various elements and principles of art to create a piece of artwork that is compositionally pleasing and that aligns with your own personal aesthetic!

Born and raised here in Phoenix, and painting since he was four years old, Stan Kurth currently devotes himself entirely to painting and teaching workshops around the country. Some of his work has even been featured in numerous fine art exhibits, and he’s won numerous awards in both national and international exhibitions! Moreover, Stan has been a member of several watercolor societies, including in the San Diego Watercolor Society, Western Federation of Watercolor Societies (Master signature), and the National Watercolor Society (Master signature)!

**Enrollment is limited to eight students (so every student has their own table).
