Sketch and paint from real still-life flowers and learn some fun techniques to watercolor painting. Grace suggests bringing any watercolor paints you already have or feel comfortable using. If you’re looking for some recommendations\, Grace likes to use Holbein\, Winsor Newton\, Daniel Smith\, and/or Schmincke watercolor paints in the colors listed below on the supply list. \nStudents will need to bring their own supplies for this class. Don’t forget to bring a water container\, paper towels\, a board for mounting your paper\, a sketching pencil\, your preferred brushes\, and anything else you normally use when watercoloring. \nGrace will provide some fresh flowers for this workshop\, but don’t be afraid to bring in some of your own! This class is designed to teach all levels of artists to paint intuitively\, meaning there will be no preliminary planning or drawing process! Students can expect to receive regular comments as well as evaluations of their current progress. In this class\, you’ll learn how to create a harmonious art piece which is both compositionally pleasing and that aligns well with your own personal aesthetic! \nBorn and raised here in Phoenix\, and painting since he was four years old\, Stan Kurth currently devotes himself entirely to painting and teaching workshops around the country.
